History of Digital India
Launched on 1st July 2015 by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, the initiative was introduced to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural India.
It integrates schemes such as National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), Aadhaar, MyGov, and Digital Locker under a unified umbrella to improve transparency and efficiency.
